Christian Endeavor, or more commonly called - CE, is a weekly Sunday
evening program geared for children and youth. CE offers our young people
a time of fellowship and interaction with other Christians; insights into
personal and social problems; an opportunity to develop leadership qualities;
and a time of spiritual enrichment.
Well, we've made it through the summer! Our Ultimate
Sundays were great - a chance each Sunday night to get together and play
ultimate Frisbee and share in a devotional - and we even squeezed in a
concert with the up-coming band Stones Thrown. We successfully made our
way through 1 Samuel and moved on into 2 Samuel in our Sr. High Bible
Study. And our Work Camp project was a huge success! We were able to take
a group of 45 people to Fayetteville, WV to work on repairing flood damaged
homes as well as help relieve some of the poverty in that area of our
country.
This coming fall, we hope to have the same fun and
good experiences as we did throughout the summer. Our lessons will include
looking into prayer (for the Sr. High and Juniors) - how it affects our
lives and is at the root of our relationship with God, and then a real
life video series (for the Jr. High) which will allow for some great discussion
on areas of life which we all struggle with.
We've also got some great stuff planned for the fall. The Sr. High Beach
Retreat is rapidly approaching, as well as a hiking trip up to the Pinnacle
for the Jr. High, and a possible over-nighter at the Schwenkfelder Library
and Heritage Center for the Juniors!
Please take our about world challenges that face you today!
