Central's Community Center Update
Community Center Update – We’re On Our Way!
In early June, the plans for the Community Center received the final waiver necessary from Worcester Township, which means that as soon as our financial resources are in place, we can pull a building permit and get under construction. The final waiver involved the fire suppression system, and the waiver allows us to install a system which will operate with water storage tanks instead of us having to make the connection to public water, which would have been considerably more expensive.
The committee has also been hard at work on the fundraising efforts for the project, and has already received a very positive response from a number of donors, totaling $900,000 as of mid-June! This represents over 50% of the project’s budget, which is $1.7 million. A display tracking the fundraising progress can be seen in Fellowship Hall. Many supporters have made their donation upfront, but some have chosen to make a pledge, which can be paid over up to 3 years. A pledge form has been developed to record and track the donation commitments. These forms can be found inside the color brochures for the Community Center, which are located on the tables in the Narthex, or are available through the church office.
There have also been special envelopes placed in the pews (labeled “Building Fund) which can be used to place donations in the offering plate. If you use these envelopes, it is only necessary to write your envelope number on the outside. These envelopes will be available in the pews until we have reached our fundraising goal.
The Community Center Committee wishes to thank those who have already made a commitment to the project, and hope that other members of the congregation will prayerfully consider supporting the project, which will be an important addition to our church, allowing us to improve and expand spiritual, recreational and social programs, both for our congregation, and the community at large. For further details on the project, contact Ken Clemens, Tony Cinelli or Alan Seese.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Here we are at the beginning of another New Year. Are you ready to cuddle up with a prayer shawl you are knitting or crocheting during the cold winter evenings? We are nearing a milestone. When the next shawl blessing occurs we will have passed the 100 mark thanks to 20+ busy sets of hands. This is a rewarding activity when you read the "thank you" notes from the many recipients. Instructions and yarn are available for you to work at home as you are able. We continue to work during LAMPS on Wed mornings but will NOT be meeting on Wed evenings. For more information contact Wilma Werley (610-275-1676).

Schwenckfeld's Catechism
Dr. Drake Williams, Christian Williams, Grant Gebbie, and Dr. Peter
Erb have spent the past couple of years translating Schwenckfelds
catechism and confessions from German into English. The publication
is ready for printing by Pandora Press of Canada.
Pandora Press is a recognized press within Anabaptist and Radical
Reformation studies. Having Pandora publish the volume would also
circulate the catechism project among a broader audience, a way of
promoting Schwenkfelder studies.
This is rare opportunity to discover what Caspar Schwenckfeld believed
and taught. Please consider contacting the office of Central Schwenkfelder
Church with your vote of interest in purchasing a copy and passing
this along to anyone that may be interested.

full of change. The Center for Loss and Bereavement in Skippack provides
a place where the grieving of our community can find connection, solace
and hope. In addition to professional counseling and educational outreach,
the Center offers six-week support groups for specified losses and ages.
Please call contact the church office for registration or further information
