Church School Fall Classes for 2011

             
Sunday School Adult Fall Classes:
Christianity 101 (meeting in the Chapel) - Systematic Study of the Apostle’s Creed, Ten Commandments and the Lord’s Prayer.
Read the Bible for Life (meeting in the Blue Room, First Floor) – Book by Author, George Guthrie, which is your guide to understanding and living God’s Word. We need to read God’s word in order to grow in our faith and understand it and know what we are reading.  This book will be reviewed for the entire fall /spring session.

Family Circle (meeting in the middle room on the 3rd Floor Balcony) – Bible Study

Family Life (meeting in the right side room on the 3rd Floor Balcony) – Living on the Edge, by Chip Ingram (DVD Series).   While the book examines the principles of Christian living as found in Romans, chapter 12, the group study looks specifically at what Jesus said and modeled for us.

Potpourri Class ( meeting on the 3rd Floor) – Twelve Ordinary Men, by John MacArthur.  A study of the 12 Apostles.

Mere Christianity Class (meeting on the 3rd Floor) A book by C.S. Lewis, which reviews The meaning of the universe, what Christians believe and Christian behavior.

Parents R Us / Young Adults-  (meeting in the Blue Room, First Floor)  Book by Author, George Guthrie, Read the Bible for Life,  which is your guide to understanding and living God’s Word. Sunday School Children Fall Classes 2011:
Toddler 1 – 6th grade – Will be using a new curriculum this year (Gospel Light).  This program is a more modern day applicable curriculum, with fun insights into God’s word.  Please review with your children and discuss with them what they learn in Sunday School.

7th -8th grade –Will be using a new curriculum this year (Trek, by the Awana program).  This series will start with God’ faithfulness with examples from His word and then transition into being Godly servants/friends/family member throughout our earthly journey.

9th grade –  In September, they will be meeting with Keith Maurer in the Bethel Room to discuss a series on relationships.  Starting in January, they will be meeting  with Pastor David in the Chapel for catechetical class.

10th – 12th grade – Reviewing Biblical characters and how they can influence our own character to be more like Christ.
