The Kingdom of God

Dear Friends,
Proverbs 22:6 tells us to train up children in the way they should go so that when they are older they won't depart from God's path. One of the great strengths of our church is its young people. And we as a congregation work very hard to provide Biblical training for these young people through our Sunday School program. You can see a sampling of how this is done if you join us on Sunday,
June 2, at 9:00 A.M. in the Sanctuary for our Children's Day Program. At that time, each Sunday School Department and its teachers will share something they've learned about or done this past year.
Another opportunity our children have to learn about our Christian faith is our Vacation Bible School Program which will be held June 23 through June 27. This year's theme, "Godzwerkus Circus" will show our children (and adults, too -yes, there is a class for you!) how God works within us and how He helps us work for Him.
Sandwiched in between these two Christian Education opportunities is our Christian Endeavor Program, which guides our youth in ways to serve Christ and know Him better. The Senior High CE Bible Study continues on Wednesday evenings and some other activities include trips to the beach, picnics and a scavenger hunt. Watch your bulletins for details!
Learning about Jesus Christ is a life-long process. In order for our faith to grow, our understanding of it must grow and that only comes from consistent Bible reading, study and prayer. So, adults, plan on attending our Adult Summer Sunday School in July and August! In July, we have Dr. Robert Newman from Biblical Theological Seminary and Dr. Manfred Brauch from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary as our teachers, and in August, we have some interesting discussions planned.
Caspar Schwenckfeld said that we're always growing in the School of Christ. Christian Education is for everyone, no matter their age or experience! So join us as we continue to grow together this summer!
