CENTRAL SCHWENKFELDER CHURCH HOLDS

COMMUNITY PORK SUPPER AND CONCERT

An old-fashioned pork supper will be held at Central Schwenkfelder Church on Saturday March 13th, at 5:30 p.m.  The dinner menu includes slow roasted pork, sauerkraut, potato stuffing and other traditional fare.  Hot dogs will be available for children, and a variety of tempting cakes and pies will be served for dessert.  The food will be served family style, so those attending can enjoy “all they can eat.”

At 7:00 p.m. a concert will be presented by “The Meistersingers,” who perform a variety of sacred and traditional favorites.  The female vocal group “Lighthearted” will also perform a selection of contemporary Christian melodies.

The Pork Supper is open to the public, but tickets must be purchased in advance (please call 610-584-4480).   The cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 4 to 12, and children under 4 are free.  There is no charge for the concert, but a free-will offering will be collected.  All proceeds from the evening will benefit The Schwenkfelder Missionary Church, a Christian outreach in West Philadelphia where running a soup kitchen is one of the many ways they serve their community.

Central Schwenkfelder Church is located at 2111 Valley Forge Road (route 363), just north of route 73, in Worcester.  Please note that the church is handicap accessible.  Further information may be obtained from the church office (610-584-4480)
