The teaching ministry of our church is based on the belief in God as
the heavenly Father, in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and in the
Holy Spirit as Sustainer. It is also based on the understanding that
the Bible is God's word in written form. Our teaching is consistent
with the Apostles' Creed, a creed that has faithfully distilled the
vital tenets of the Christian faith.
Caspar Schwenkfeld emphasized the heart experience of Christian truth
(i.e. a changed life) and the development of one's personal relationship
with Jesus Christ. He also emphasized the need to progress in one's
spiritual journey. These emphases also comprise our teaching ministry.
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth,
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hades. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
Amen.
