Rev. David W. McKinley is Senior Pastor

David W. McKinley is Senior Pastor at Central Schwenkfelder Church, where he has served since September of 2002. Originally from the Ozarks, Rev. McKinley was raised in the First Christian Church of Nevada, Missouri where he came to faith in Christ and was baptized in 1981. Pastor David attended Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, graduating with a B.A. in Religious Studies. While there, David met his wife Linda and they were married in 1994.

He received the M.Div. from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 1996 and a Th.M. in Systematic Theology from Westminster Theological Seminary in 2006. His thesis addressed Caspar Schwenckfeld's doctrine of Scripture, arguing for its historical context over against 20th century understandings.

Before joining the staff at Central Schwenkfelder Church, David pastored congregations in Missouri and Kansas. David and Linda have three children and live in Lansdale.

Rev. Bill Kalajainen is Associate Minister of Education

Bill Kalajainen answered God’s call to be our Associate Minister of Education in August of 2007.  Bill and his wife Mary Jane came to us from Centreville, Virginia, but have roots in Western Pennsylvania.  Possessing a degree in civil engineering from Youngstown State University (Ohio), Bill is also a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary (M.Div., 2005) in Charlotte, North Carolina.  As a layman, he served in a broad number of ministry areas while working full-time as an engineer for nearly twenty years.  Although his responsibilities are wide-ranging, Bill chiefly oversees our expanding Christian Education programs.

Julian Scavetti is Youth Pastor

Julian Scavetti serves as Youth Pastor of Central Schwenkfelder Church.  He began his ministry at Central in January of 2008.  Julian grew up right down the Blue Route in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.  As a boy, Julian was raised in the Catholic Church and eventually drifted away from God.  When Julian was 17 years old, he gave his life to Christ while on a ski trip with his friend’s youth group.  The impact this had on Julian’s life has fueled his passion to reach out to teenagers and introduce them to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Julian engaged in ministry by serving as a volunteer youth leader for four years in South Jersey, Drexel Hill and Havertown.  In 2002 Julian graduated from Eastern University with a Bachelors Degree in Youth Ministry, which prepared him to answer God’s calling on his life.  While at Eastern University, Julian was especially blessed to meet a beautiful student named Tara.  Tara and Julian ultimately married in July of 2002.  Over the past five years, Julian has served as Youth Pastor in two different churches in Lancaster County. Currently, Julian is seeking licensure through the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference.

Karen Kriebel Gallagher grew up in the Central Schwenkfelder Church. She is a graduate of Slippery Rock University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary/Special Education. Karen graduated from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1983 with a Master's of Divinity degree. In the Fall of 1983, Karen began her work at Central Church as a youth minister. After a faithful 25 year career at Central Schwenkfelder Church, Rev. Karen Gallagher resigned from vocational ministry as of October 2008.  She continues to attend Central, and is involved in many areas of church life.

Dr. H. Drake Williams, III - Interim Academic Dean and Professor of Greek Studies at Tyndale Theological Seminary, The Netherlands

In 2005, the congregation of Central Schwenkfelder Church saw Rev. Dr. Drake Williams leave to accept a teaching post at Tyndale Theological Seminary near Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Being raised at Central Church, Drake faithfully served as our Minister of Spiritual Enrichment for seven years. Nevertheless, God called Drake, Andrea and their three children to serve with European Christian Mission.
